Home Visits

Home visit requests should be made before 12 noon wherever possible and are for those patients who are housebound or who are genuinely too ill to attend the surgery. The receptionist will ask you for a reason for the visit; this is to help the doctor assess the urgency. You may be asked to attend surgery if you are able.  Lack of transport is not a reason to request a home visit . If you request a non-urgent visit after 12noon you may be asked to contact us the following working day.

Bear in mind that in the time it takes a doctor to visit a patient at home, four patients could have been seen at the Practice.

Please telephone the surgery between 8am and 12noon with your request for a visit.

Serious Medical Emergencies such as severe chest pain, fitting, collapse, unconciousness, heavy bleeding etc should be directed immediately to the
999 Ambulance Service
